General Rules
No powerplay (controlling another person's character in a roleplay as well as your own) No God-modeling (making your character unable to get hurt or die -- being God-like) Use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Post in full sentences. Now sexist, racist or violent (unless in charrie in the battle grounds) talk. Only minimal swearing is allowed. If you abuse this privilege you will be banned. Be respectful and nice to all staff members and fellow members. Please resist the urge to fight in OOC and the C-box. If you must carry out a disagreement, please do it over PMs. If the argument gets serious please message me and I will intervene. No graphic breeding in the boards. If you feel the...need...to breed in a graphic way please take it to PMs.
Accounts
One account per person -- we do not allow one account per character, all characters must stay on the one account. If you have an unsuitable username you will be PMed to change it and if you do not change it within four days I have the right to delete your account. Unsuitable means something rude, racist, offensive etc or something like 'lLaMaGIrL_4EvAh2937464'. When you put in your first bio, you may not roleplay until it has been accepted by a staff member. That being said, if you are seen roleplaying without firstly being accepted, I will delete your account without warning.
Signatures
All signatures must not stretch the board. If I find a siggy that does stretch the board, I will delete it immediately. If you have a profile (you can make one at the Profiles board) you must link to it in your siggy. The profile must include: your characters information and a bit of OOC info. It would be nice to include some pictures of your characters, but it is not necessary. You can always order these from the graphics studio board. We don't want anything inappropriate in your signature. If I find something of that nature in your siggy, I will delete it without warning.
Activity
If you join and do not make a bio (of fix up your bio) within two weeks, I will delete your account. If you are going away for five or more days, you must post in the Holiday board so you are not in danger of being deleted on a random activity check. When a random activity check occurs, you'll be PMed and emailed. If you do not post in the activity check, your account will be deleted and your characters put up for adoption. If you have a character that owns a terraland and you are not on in two weeks (without posting in the Holiday board) the terraland will be back up for grabs.
Posting
When roleplaying, all posts must be in third person. All posts must be at least 190 words long. That is not a big ask. If you are having trouble doing this for every post, this is not the roleplay for you. If I happen to find a post less than 190 words, I will PM you to lengthen it. If you do not do so within three days of the PM I will delete your post. If you must post out of character (OOC) during a roleplay, put 'OOC: blah blah blah' at the top of your IC (in character) post. This is to distinguish between OOC talk and IC talk. Please post what your character is thinking in italics and what they are saying in quotation marks ("blah") and in bold. Refrain from using chatspeak or hard-to-understand-weird-word speak anywhere, whether it be OOC or IC. Chatspeak: teh llamaz ran 2 da forest 2 look 4 sometin 2 eat. This is not allowed. Hard-to-understand-weird-word speak: The phlegmatic, melanoid femmora ingressed over to the sagacious, peathingy hessian who was shaking his countenance as he intercepted the chartreuse domicile. This is not allowed.
Characters
Make sure you post the form when you create your character's bio. Do not add, change or take anything away from the form. When a staff member accepts your application you may begin to roleplay. YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE ACCEPTED! If you are asked to change/fix your application, please do so a.s.a.p. Your characters may be in more than one place at once. You must keep track of where you are, though, you can do this using a Thread Log, so as not to get confused and befuddled. Here are the breeds of llamas which live in LlamaLland: - unillamas (llamas with a horn like a unicorn) - winged llamas (or Wingus Pegallamus) - elemental llamas (air, earth, fire and water.) - tricksters (shape-shifting llamas) - magillamas (llamas with magical powers) - rainabonnas (coloured llamas with small powers) - terriers (warrior-type llamas -- the ones that normally protect the herd. Normal looking llamas with super strength and small powers.) - lama glama (normal llama, no powers/colours, considered unusual in LlamaLland -- may develop powers later, plot may be involved) The llamas which you MAY NOT create right now are: winged llamas, elemental llamas, tricksters and lama glamas. They will be available later. If you create one of these I will tell you to change your bio immediately. You may have a limit of five characters. That is more than enough. You can win extra character slots in competitions or buy them (very expensive) in the Llama Point Store. If any of your characters are inactive, I will PM you and either suggest to put them up for adoption or to starting using them.
Females
May not force breed May not claim males May invite llamas to their terraland May fight in the Battle Terra Firma May not become pregnant until 3 years old May only try out for Empress of their terraland if over 3.
Males
May not force breed May claim females (with the female's permission) May invite llamas to their terraland May fight in the Battle Terra Firma May not impregnate until 3 years old May only try out for Emperor of their terraland if over 3
Cria (baby llama)
May not breed until 3 years of age May not claim until 3 years of age May not invite llamas to their terraland until 2 May not fight in the Battle Terra Firma May not impregnate or become pregnant until 3 years old May only try out for Royal of their terraland when over 3 Must be taught by parents how to live in the herd when 1
Life in the Herd
Alpha males are known as Emperors and alpha females are known as Empresses. Deltas (who in this game are the soldier-type ones; the one that protect the herd) are known as Warriors. When an Emperor/Empress becomes 12, they must 'take a break' from being a Royal. Their spot will then be back up for grabs and the predecessor must wait for two years (at least) before re-applying for an empty slot. If this doesn't make sense please PM an admin. If both Royals TAB (take a break) then another two Royals must be chosen as soon as possible. You may not like the idea of TAB, but this is so everyone will get a chance at being a Royal if they wish. Remember you can always re-apply two years after you have TABbed.
Aging
Every four real life months = 1 year in LlamaLland. One month for each season. Llamas in LlamaLland are basically immortal. You can keep aging and aging until you're 1097348965 years old and you'll never die. In this game, this is a good thing. It means you get to keep your characters for as long as you want. If you want to get rid of your character, please put it in the adoption board.
Breeding and Birthing
You may NOT force breed on this website. Do NOT RP breeding in a graphic way. It goes against Proboards and our rules. If you do decide to take the breeding to PMs, it must not be very graphic. You can RP out the breeding in a non-explicit way on the boards if you wish, or just use the 'time travel' method. For example: 'Rob met Jenny in the Breeding Forest to breed. Blah blah blah.' Then the other person would post their introduction. Then post the form situated in the New Life Valley for both parents and an admin will come along and post your babies in your thread. 'Some time later...' You may then RP out the birth if you wish, although it is not needed. If this is hard to understand please PM a staff member for help. You may only breed in the Breeding Forest. Females may only breed if they have been claimed by a male. Birthing may take place in the Nymph Caves. Males may not go there unless invited by their mate. The people who play the male and female must then discuss who would like to keep and roleplay the baby (or babies) or if they will go the adoption board.
Battles
All battles must take place in the Battle Terra Firma. Please keep blood and gore to a minimum. The battle will consist of four posts each: 1 starting post each, stating that you are ready to fight, and 3 battle posts each. The person who posted their starting post first may be first to post their first battle post. Then, after you've posted all four posts, a staff member will come along and decide the result of the battle. If you are having a battle and you want your character to die in it, you may message the opponent to tell them that they can kill you. Please THINK before you do this, you may not bring your llama back to life, unless a future plot enables you to do so. That is unlikely, though. A better alternative is to put your character up for adoption. Remember, no God-modeling or powerplay!
Claiming Females and Terraland
Only males may claim females. If a female is already in a terraland, the male can either decide to come to that females terraland or to ask the female to come to the male's terraland. If a female doesn't want you to claim her you may either agree and leave or battle her for the right to claim. If you find an unclaimed land you want to claim (they will always have names, just no description), you must post in the land with a 300+ word post stating that you claim it. You must also put a description of the terraland in your post. Once you have posted, please wait for a staff member to come and read it. If it is good enough, the thread will be locked and the board edited to fit your description. If it is not good enough you can try again in three days. When you claim a land it does not make you the Royal of that land. You must apply for that if you want it separately. I really don't like people battling to take other's lands away...but if you feel like you must, at least wait for the owner to have owned it for at least a real life month, otherwise it just isn't fair.
